Since the 1940s, the Glen Urquhart Rural Community Association is where people have shared ideas to build on what we have around us.  We work together on projects that bring positive change.  Whether you’ve always lived here or have recently arrived, everyone’s voice counts and we’re proud of the welcoming spirit that shapes this area.

GURCA is a development trust that relies solely on volunteers although we have recently sourced funding for a Community Development Officer to help with the mountain of work that each of our projects requires.

#saveourhall I’ve set myself a challenge: 👉 300 baskets for £300k – I’m aiming to play 300 holes in a day to help raise the remaining funds. 🎯 The Challenge: 📍 Location: Drumnadrochit Disc Golf Course 📅 Date: Saturday, 22nd March 💰 Goal: Raise money for the hall transformation To reach my target, I’ll need to complete: Twelve 18-hole rounds + six 14-hole rounds 13 hours of play (starting before 6 AM!) Covering 26 miles (Essentially a Marathon) Making around 1,250 throws I’d love to see folk out on the course cheering me on, maybe even joining me for the odd hole. But be warned – I won’t be hanging around, as I’ll need to keep moving! 🙌 How You Can Help: The best way to support me is by donating to the cause: If you want to help save a beautiful old hall in the Scottish Highlands—or simply support this act of daftness—please contribute! 💥 To make it more interesting: I’ll add £1 to my donation for every birdie I score on the day.
