Roof Re slated. The Team at GURCA would like to thank the Highland Council for funding from the Scottish Government’s Place-Based Investment Programme (PBIP), and Tier 2 match funding from our friends Soirbheas. This has enabled the main Hall roof to be completely re slated. Please take a look next time you are passing by – it looks superb and will safeguard the building for many, many years to come.
This project has been carried out to a very high standard by James and the team at Highland Slaters. After all the rain over the last couple of nights it is a very good thing indeed.
Glen Urquhart Public Hall – New Windows.
With the Scaffolding now down it really is fantastic to see the difference the 3 large new windows have made to the main Hall. GURCA are very grateful to our partners Soirbheas for Tier 2 Funding, and the Greening Community Assets Fund delivered by Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE) & Local Energy Scotland on behalf of the Scottish Government. We would also like to thank Mike Cooper and the team at MC Builders Highland Ltd for all of their hard work on this project – we are really happy with the high quality finish achieved.
The new windows will help with the Hall’s energy efficiency and also reduce noise from the A82, hall users have already noticed these improvements – Thank you to everybody who has helped with this project
