GLENURQUHART RURAL COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION

Welcome to the website for the Glenurquhart Rural Community Association (GURCA) – Glenurquhart’s Development Trust.

GURCA is a registered Scottish Charity (SC020223) and is constituted as a Two-Tier SCIO (Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation).  This is a legal form unique to Scottish charities and it allows GURCA to enter into contracts, employ staff, incur debts and own property.  It also provides a high degree of protection against liability.

GURCA is a membership organisation, led by a Board of elected Trustees.

GURCA’s overall vision is to develop, inspire and embrace a vibrant future for our area.

The trust aims to encourage and facilitate a collaborative and inclusive approach to identifying, supporting and delivering relevant developments and community led initiatives, to sustain or improve the quality of life, work and leisure, for the people of Glen Urquhart.

This website aims to provide information about the Trust and its activities, and to provide an easy reference guide for anyone wishing to know more about what goes on in our community.
