GLENURQUHART RURAL COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION

GURCA has aspirations to develop a Community Action Plan (CAP) which will outline the vision for Glen Urquhart over the next 20 years, identifying projects and services the community would like to see implemented. This will prioritise those initiatives in order that resources can be directed to the ones the Community would like to see delivered.

A consultant is on standby to undertake community consultation and produce the CAP and they will start once the funding for the project is in place. So far we have funding from Soirbheas (£5k), GURCA, Community Council and Chamber (£1k) and Historic Environment Scotland (£2.5k).  It is hope that the remainder of the funding will be in place to start this exercise in early 2019.

The CAP will be an important document which underpins future funding applications.
